What Defines Me

2016 was an interesting year. I went through a lot of emotional stuff but on reflection it gave me time to think about who I am as a person and acknowledge that there are so many different aspects of me that sometimes I find it hard to reconcile each part of myself.

There’s the materialistic part of me that wants to have a nice house, car and designer clothes but then there’s the frugal part of me that wants to live simply, well within my means and save money rather than spend.

There’s the social part of me that wants to organise outings with people and connect on an intimate level but there’s the introvert part that wants nothing more than to curl up with a book and glass of wine every weekend and speak to no one.

There’s the vain part of me that wants to have great skin, amazing nails and look flawless but then there’s also the lazy part of me that can’t be bothered fixing my chipped nails or brushing my teeth before bed.

There’s the healthy part of me that wants to eat well and exercise regularly but there’s the glutton in me that just loves food and wine a little too much.

So what I want to do is combine all these aspects of me in one place.

I want this to be a place where I can freely explore my likes and dislikes, share what I’ve learnt in my 30 years and really come to understand who I am as a person and I hope you’ll join me as I do.

I’d also love to know, what defines you?
